What are the trendy colors for fall-winter 2023?

During New York Fashion Week, Pantone revealed the colors to adopt for this fall-winter 2023. What colors hit the catwalks this season? What tones should we tame to wrap ourselves up? Follow the guide: we tell you everything in this article!

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk,” or “lait de coco” in French, inspires the exoticism of a milky white, soft and enveloping. According to Pantone, it is a “versatile white,” which pairs well with both your office outfits and your evening outfits. Basic on a shirt, elegant on trousers, this non-color will truly stand out when it adorns your favorite accessories; if you are brunette or redhead, opt for a headband in this shade. Coconut white also pairs perfectly with a belt (especially if you love the 2000s trend!), shoes (sneakers or ballet flats) or a bag (clutch, shoulder bag, bum bag...) If you opt for a white bag, choose a small model to add a touch of light to your look sparingly. White should be handled delicately to avoid a too vaporous, childish… or bridal effect!

Brown Doe

Brown is certainly the most representative color of leather, as it is its natural hue. This season, brown is available in a "go-anywhere" shade, according to Pantone, to match all your outfits. From the timeless combo of jeans/sneakers to the little black dress, and through a grungy look with cargo pants and a bomber jacket, Doe brown is everywhere. Warmer than black, less soiled than beige, it pairs well with almost all colors thanks to its warm tones and understated elegance. You can find it on a cardigan or sweater as well as on trousers, a jacket, or a bag. The latter will be even more chic if made of leather; the brown will enhance the texture of the material, restoring its nobility. For a sporty look, choose a fanny pack or a backpack; for a casual or elegant look, opt for a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag.

Eclipse

“Total eclipse of the heart”, as the saying goes… But we prefer the eclipse in our wardrobe! “Eclipse” is the sweet name of the navy blue for Autumn-Winter 2023. A deep shade of blue, navy takes its name from the British Royal Navy of the 18th century. Timeless, it makes a strong comeback this season to twist our usual total black looks. As sober and chic as it is, it can be worn in all forms – just be careful with the navy/white combo if you don’t want to resemble our dear sailors. For accessories, for example, we adopt it on a bag enhanced with a golden buckle to emphasize the effortlessly elegant effect, or on blue and white earrings to liven up an outfit.

Hot Fudge

Hot fudge… What is that? Understand "hot caramel" in French! This color made in Pantone actually refers to a lighter brown, close to orange and the color of the confectionery of the same name. The hot fudge warms hearts and bodies through a range of brown clothing, shoes, and accessories. An easy-to-wear color, it pairs well with light tones and pastels (beige, white, light yellow, baby blue…) as well as darker shades (navy blue, black, gray…). Moreover, it enhances blonde hair and flatters tanned skin – suitable for everyone. Choose it in a monochrome version or in touches, through small leather goods (wallet, travel companion…), a bag, or a belt.
