Pastel party: a sweet summer of colors

Pastels are soft, light colors. They often appeal to childhood with their nuances full of tenderness and their poetic names (“baby pink”, “baby blue”, “chick yellow”, “lilac”…), and take their origin precisely… from color sticks used to draw!

Childhood colors

Pastels are soft, light colors. They often appeal to childhood with their nuances full of tenderness and their poetic names (“baby pink”, “baby blue”, “chick yellow”, “lilac”…), and take their origin precisely… from color sticks used to draw! Soothing, pastels also evoke ideas of serenity, sensuality, wisdom and candor, which make them timeless colors that are easy to wear. And this, particularly in summer: their freshness tempers even the hottest atmospheres of the season...

And fashion in all this?

We're letting you in on a secret: wearing pastel colors is much easier than you think. Unlike brightly colored clothes, pastel pieces go through trends and seasons more easily... and we get tired of wearing them less quickly. However, one rule to follow when choosing your pastels: be sure to select them according to your skin tone to enhance your looks with a play of contrasts and saturation. The advantage of pastels? They enhance all skin tones: they highlight tanned complexions and enhance pale skin, giving both of them a fresh and luminous complexion.

Concretely, pastel colors can be added to your look in touches ( baguette bag , earrings, mules, etc.), or worn as a total look. For example, adopt the trend of oversized shorts/shirt sets in pastel colors, or mix several colors (lilac/yellow, emerald green/pale pink, baby blue/nude, etc.) to master the art of color blocking (Editor's note: the art to use color as the main element of a look). In all cases, focus on the part of the body that you want to highlight because pastel attracts the eye with its liveliness!

Please note: shades of purple (lilac, mauve, etc.) have the particularity of flattering almost all body types! They soften the face and illuminate all skin tones. To be used, therefore, without moderation!
